The IT Service Management SOS (ITSM-SOS) program provides guidance to IT organizations on how to design and sustain a successful service management initiative.  This program is designed specifically to help end user client organizations and not education and training organizations serving those end user organizations.

itsm-sos-logo-140w.jpgThe IT Service Management SOS™ (ITSM-SOS) program helps IT organizations considering, or actively pursuing an ITSM project with complimentary, remote support, guidance, and general advice.

Importantly, traditional approaches to ITSM projects tend to place the focus on the re-engineering of processes, development of key artifacts (such as a service catalog), implementing new technologies, or embarking on a capability maturity effort.  

These traditional approaches require a significant up front commitment of resources, major investments, contain high risk, are expensive, and are inhibitive to smaller organizations.


Worst of all - the traditional ITSM approaches represent 'inside-out' thinking and fail the customer.


The ITSM-SOS program is designed to especially help small to medium sized IT organizations to deciphering and apply cost effectively guidance and 'best practices' found within frameworks such as the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). 

NOTE: Admission to the program is at the discretion of the program managers and subject to the completion of a detailed survey designed to ensure guidance is offered in proper context of prevailing conditions, and organizational and project aspirations. 

The ITSM-SOS program steers ITSM projects away from the common pitfalls of traditional methods and ensures a service management is customer relevant, plausible and targeting real benefit from the outset.

Throughout, the ITSM-SOS program uses the Universal Service Management Body of Knowledge (USMBOK) as the over-arching frame of reference.
